Dr. Mascaró understands the emotional stress associated with facial injuries. As such, he will take his time to ensure that you feel comfortable with the plan prior to proceeding. He will tell you exactly what to expect before, during, and after your surgery.

For most procedures, a local anesthetic will be enough, but for more extensive repairs, the surgery is performed using conscious sedation, a process similar to that performed during colonoscopies or other procedures such as rhinoplasty and facelift.
